County residents should be proud of our county owned nursing facility. The recent annual state review of Bradley County Healthcare and
Peerless Road generated high praise from inspectors.
The annual inspection is done to insure that the nursing facility is in full compliance with all state and federal rules and regulations. During the survey, resident records were checked, medication pass monitoring was completed, residents were interviewed and all facility policies and procedures were reviewed.
BHRC Administrator Joe Newcomb reports that the nursing facility received no major deficiency citations and all 5 state inspectors mentioned that BHRC has a very good nursing program in place and commended the staff for the high level of nursing care.
As Mayor, I am gratified that the state has confirmed that the County-owned facility operates a program of quality care that every citizen can be proud of. I commend Mr. Newcomb and his entire staff for their dedication and commitment to carrying on a tradition of caring for our County’s most vulnerable citizens that began in 1957.
BHRC is a top rate nursing facility and is an important link in the County’s goal of providing quality healthcare for all of our residents. As a 3-Star Community, my staff and I update our multi-faceted 5-year strategic plan each year. One of the strategies includes healthcare and involves the Bradley County Health Department, Bradley County Health Council, SkyRidge Medical Center, SkyRidge’s Healthy Woman program, Bradley County Agriculture Extension office, Coordinated School Health, Safe Schools/Healthy Students, Wellness Steps of Bradley County, and of course, Bradley Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Our community is blessed with a number of outstanding long term care facilities as well as the corporate offices of Life Care Centers of
America, one of the nation’s premier long term care providers. I am also proud that Brookdale Senior Living and Signature Healthcare also call
