Sequoyah Planning

A portion of Bradley County lies within the 10-mile Emergency Planning Zone (EPZ) for the Sequoyah Nuclear Power Plant located in Hamilton County.  Residents in this area which runs along the central, western side of Bradley County are provided with calendars and printed evacuation information on an annual basis by the Tennessee Valley Authority.  TVA also conducts warning siren test on the first Wednesday of every month to ensure that proper notification is given to the residents in the affected area.

Cleveland / Bradley County EMA is actively involved in the planning and exercising of the facilities emergency plans and conducts hands-on drills every two years with TVA officials and other affected counties.
