Judge Daniel R. Swafford

Judge Daniel R. Swafford was born in Bradley County, Tennessee.  He was educated in the Bradley County Public Schools and graduated from Bradley Central High School in 1972.  He graduated with Highest Honors from the University of Tennessee and graduated University of South Carolina Law School in 1988. 

Judge Swafford served as First Lieutenant with the United States Marine Corp from 1978-1981. He then served as Lieutenant JAG Corps in the United States Navy and received two Navy Commendations. 

Judge Swafford was an Assistant District Attorney and was in private practice in Bradley, Polk and Hamilton Counties until he was elected General Sessions/Juvenile Judge 2006.
