REZONING APPLICATION

General Information

Rezoning Applications are due in the Planning Office fifteen (15) days before the regular monthly meeting of the Bradley County Regional Planning Commission.  The Planning Commission meets the first Tuesday of every month.

There is a $50 application fee due upon submission of the rezoning application.

Upon receiving an application and fee, all adjoining property owners and property owners directly across the street will be notified by certified letter.  A sign will be placed on the property notifying others of the request for rezoning.

The applicant should attend the meeting of the Planning Commission to answer any questions Commissioners may have.  The meeting is held at the Bradley County Courthouse at 6:30 PM.  The Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the County Commission.

A notice will be published in the Cleveland Daily Banner of the public hearing on the rezoning request after recommendation of the Planning Commission.  The public must be given a minimum of fifteen (15) days notice.  The request will be placed on the agenda of the County Commission approximately one month after action by the Planning Commission.  The County Commission will make the final decision on the rezoning.

The applicant should also attend the meeting of the Bradley County Commission to answer questions.  The applicant is responsible for contacting the Planning Office for the exact date and time of this meeting.  Normally, the meeting will be the first Monday of the month following the Planning Commission meeting, at 7:00 PM at the Bradley County Courthouse.

Please call the Bradley County Planning Office if you have any additional questions.
