Commission (BCC)

The Bradley County Commission is made up of fourteen elected officers, two from each of the seven districts within
Bradley
County. The Planning Office presents zoning issues and other planning related information to the Commission to enable them to make thoughtful and informed decisions for the future of
Bradley
County. The
County
Commission generally has voting meetings on the first Monday of every month at 7pm and the third Monday of every month at 10am. To locate your commission district please see our “Maps” section.

Bradley
County Regional Planning Commission (BCRPC)

The Bradley County Regional Planning Commission is comprised of nine volunteer members. These appointees are nominated by the
County
Mayor and confirmed by the
County
Commission. Terms are set at four years. The BCRPC reviews and approves subdivision plats, approves changes to subdivision policy, and makes recommendations to the
County
Commission on a number of zoning issues. These public servants receive no compensation for their time and energy and serve completely on a volunteer basis. The Planning Commission generally meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm in the
County
Commission room of the Courthouse. Agenda items are due fifteen days before the regular monthly meeting.

Bradley

Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA)
Similar to the Planning Commission, the Board of Zoning Appeals is made up of dedicated citizen volunteers. This Board has the authority to grant variances to the Zoning Resolution. The BZA consists of five members who serve four year terms. The board generally meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm in the conference room of the Planning, Engineering, and Building Inspection Office. Agenda items are due eight days before the regular monthly meeting.

Cleveland Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)

The Planning Office also works as a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Planning Organizations Technical Coordinating Committee. The MPO makes decisions regarding transportation planning for the greater
Cleveland area.
